What is “Green House” and what are green houses in Bulgaria?
Green House is a trademark of quality that distinguishes hospitality tourist sites that are distinguished by authentic atmosphere, corporate responsibility and eco orientation. The Green House® certificate is awarded to guest houses and family hotels that have successfully passed an assessment of compatibility with European criteria for quality accommodation where the negative impact on nature is minimized. The hosts are often families of the local community who know their end and are able to present to the guests the beauty of the surrounding nature, the charm of the traditional lifestyle and the peculiarities of local cuisine.
The network of certified Green House sites in Bulgaria was created by the Bulgarian Agency for Alternative Tourism (BAAT) and acknowledges the efforts for a quality-oriented and responsible business. However, members of the network have yet another extremely important development tool. Such as experience exchange program initiated by BAAT at the beginning of 2011. Each site is unique in its own right and can offer a different perspective and new ideas how to solve problems of a very varied nature. Green House is not just a label but an opportunity for constant development and improvement of the services offered in the hospitality sector.
