`Entrepreneurial Learning Exchange Initiative for Sustainable Hospitality SMEs in the Balkan-Mediterranean Region` (HELIX) is a result of targeted cooperation between 4 higher education institutions (from Bulgaria, Greece, Albania) and business support organizations (from Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM) and Bulgaria).
The project puts focus on the possibilities for boosting up the competitiveness and growth of one of the most prospective economic sectors in the region – tourism and hospitality by tackling the main growth impediments related to shortage of skills, innovation capacity and ineffective use of natural resources.
HELIX aims to increase the competencies for sustainable business and innovation (especially among SMEs and entrepreneurs) in the hospitality sector in the Balkan-Mediterranean Region. Starting from September, 2017 in the continuum of 24 months, the project partners will work together to improve the training offer in hospitality by developing effective learning and practice communities, learning tools and joint educational offers in benefit of owners and entrepreneurs of hospitality SMEs, students and trainees, trainers and other stakeholders.
